Former CarGurus Executive Marty Blue Joins Recurrent Board

Today the Board of Directors at Recurrent expands with a new member. Martha (Marty) Blue joins as a seasoned industry executive with leadership roles in technology startups and automotive marketplaces. 

Marty’s experience is truly unparalleled. She is a senior advisor to carmakers on EV strategy at Boston Consulting Group, an entrepreneur-in-residence at Harvard Business School, and a former SVP of business development at CarGurus, the largest automotive digital marketplace in the US based on unique monthly visitors. It is a breath and depth of wisdom that will propel Recurrent’s next stage of growth. 

“Adding Marty to the Board is a big deal to me and the rest of our leadership team,” said Scott Case, Recurrent CEO. “She has already navigated many of the challenges we’ll face as a growing presence in the auto domain in the coming years.”

For more than 8 years, Marty was an integral part of the leadership team at Cargurus. She reported to the CEO/COO and guided the company through a successful IPO in October 2017. During her time with the company, CarGurus grew from 14 to 700+ employees with a market cap in excess of $4 billion. In addition to leading Business Development, Marty also launched the Sales, B2B Marketing, Product, and Industry Relations functions.
