Recurrent Announces the Best Places to Buy a New EV in 2025

Car dealerships play a critical role in the adoption of electric vehicles (EV). As EV supply and demand accelerates across the U.S., the research team at Recurrent is announcing the 2025 winners of the Best Places to Buy a New EV.

Recurrent’s research team analyzes EV-specific activity at more than 5,000 dealerships and dealer groups nationwide to identify the leaders that contribute expertise, infrastructure, and inventory that help Americans make the switch with confidence.

“These 15 leaders aren’t just selling electric vehicles—they’re supporting a whole new generation of drivers,” said Liz Najman, Director of Market Insights at Recurrent. “They’ve made real investments in training, infrastructure, and experience. They’re not waiting for the market to catch up—they’re helping lead it.”

Najman and the research team determined winners based on:

  • Typical EV availability across the dealership or dealer group
  • Survey results from Recurrent's community of 30,000 EV owners
  • Other qualifications like EV information available on the website, EV chargers at dealership locations, and investments in training and education.

The 2025 winners include both single-store standouts and dealer groups that bring EV readiness to scale across multiple brands and locations.

"As the automotive world continues its shift toward electrification, CMA is committed to being the go-to experts for EVs in every community we serve. That’s why we’ve designated EV Champions in each of our dealerships. Team members who undergo extensive training on everything from charging infrastructure to long-term ownership benefits. We’re not just selling electric vehicles, we’re equipping our customers with the knowledge and confidence to embrace the future of driving." --Liza Borches, President/CEO, Carter Myers Automotive

From building EV-focused service centers to sending entire sales teams to national training programs, these dealers are committed to creating a welcoming and informed experience for EV shoppers—especially first-time buyers.

In a rapidly changing market, these dealerships are showing what it looks like to get it right—not just for the cars on the lot, but for the customers behind the wheel.
